Easter Rivington Ramble 2013

A walk up Rivington Pike on Good Friday is usually a different experience than walking up at any other time of the year.  Traditionally this is when Rivington Pike Fair takes place and towards the top of Rivington Pike you will usually find burger vans and the odd fairground ride too.

Walking up Rivington Pike on Good Friday has become a tradition of ours too.  We have done the walk for the past few years usually in pouring rain or hot sunshine, but this year we had snow!  It made the walk very interesting to say the least.  There were a few slips but fortunately we all got up and down safely.

The snow also made for some great pictures too.  I have lots of photographs taken from previous years so it’s good to get some that look different.  I’ve uploaded a few of them below for you to enjoy.
